“As a careworker, I get to look after some genuinely lovely people. They often tell me how they really appreciate the care I provide to them. This is very rewarding and I like the fact that I am helping those who would otherwise be unable to care for themselves. I also love the fact that I sometimes get to spend time with them just chatting, hearing about their families, grandchildren and stories about their lives. People often forget that every single older person has led a life that has had ups and downs, highs and lows, but these all come together to give each of them their unique personalities.”
